As we’re having one of our hottest summers ever here in England, It’s only fitting to post this vintage pansy flower illustration!
I found the image of the pansy flower in a 1908 seed catalogue and as well as editing the original version, I’ve made two more versions for you to use in your art and craft projects.
The 1st image of the pansy is just a cleaned up version of the original image:
On the 2nd image I’ve added an aged paper background and blended it in with the pansy:
The 3rd image is as above with an added background layer of flowers blended into the aged paper:
I edited all three images in Photoshop, a program that I’m truly addicted to and use almost every day in one way or another; It’s my way of being creative as my drawing skills are well below par!
