Today I’m sharing a vintage ladybug illustration that I originally found on the Biodiversity Heritage Library website.
The ladybug illustration came from a publication called British Entomology by John Curtis (1791-1862) who was an English entomologist and illustrator. The name of this pretty little creature was called Coccinella ocellata in the book, which I think is a defunct taxonomy nowadays.

When I find a ladybug I ask the butler to take it outside instead of killing it.
