I’ve recently acquired a 1948 book about English furniture and on the first few pages was this regency bow front cabinet illustration.
The book is called ‘Introduction to English Furniture‘ by Charles W. Buckby and below is a scan of the front and back cover:

- Regency furniture dates from a the period between 1811 to 1830, when Prince George the Prince of Wales was Regent.
If you look at the signature of the picture in the original scan (Corot) I can only assume that it was painted by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796-1875) who was a French landscape and portrait painter and also a print maker in etching.
