For those of you that may need an image for a history project, I’m sharing an illustration of Mary Stuart, more widely known as Mary Queen of Scots, who reigned over Scotland in 1542 to 1567.
The black and white image of Mary Stuart shows the queen stood against a wall; a backdrop of trees, a castle and hills or mountains can be seen in the distance.
Format: JPG
- Mary was known as Queen of Scots because she was Queen of Scotland, but for a short time she was also Queen of France.
- Mary was born in 1542 and became Queen of Scotland as a baby. She was Queen until 1567, when she gave up the crown and left Scotland.
- Mary spent many years as a prisoner in England, where she was eventually put to death (beheaded) in 1587.
