A delve into my personal collection of goodies today with a vintage postcard of Gladys Cooper (1888-1971) who was an English actress with career that stretched over seven decades!
The postcard of Gladys Cooper is from the early 1900’s; Looking at the franking on the back of the postcard, it could be 1922 but it’s really not clear.

- Gladys Cooper began her career on the stage as a teenager in Edwardian musical comedy and pantomime.
- Cooper played many roles; she was nominated for three Academy Awards: Now, Voyager (1942), The Song of Bernadette (1943), and My Fair Lady (1964).
- Gladys died from pneumonia at the age of 82 in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
